Jun.Prof. Dr. Volker Ludwig

 

Volker Ludwig studied social sciences at the University of Mannheim and subsequently obtained his doctorate in sociology from the University of Mannheim. From 2008 to 2012 he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Statistics and Social Sciences in Mannheim and in the DFG long-term project of the German Family Panel (pairfam), based at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES). From 2012 to 2016 he was a research associate at the Department of Sociology, in particular “Institutions and Organizations”, of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Since October 2016, Volker Ludwig is Junior Professor of Applied Sociology at the University of Kaiserslautern.

Volker Ludwig’s research interests lie within the field of family sociology, labor market sociology and causal analysis, particularly the analysis of panel data.
