And how does the self-organization of human societies work? We gain new insights by looking at our research topics from a wide variety of perspectives in our broad-based department and investigating them using modern empirical methods.

Social science research is indispensable, especially at a technical university. Above all, technical and scientific projects are inconceivable today without social science expertise: future problems are thus explained, understood and solved together.
