Early studies in social sciences at RPTU - KL
The "Social Science Early Studies" program at RPTU in Kaiserslautern is a project funded by the Ministry of Science and Health.
The program helps to give high school students an insight into studying at a university and (social) scientific work.
As part of an online learning and teaching platform (OpenOLAT), pupils are given the opportunity to work on assignments online in parallel with lessons. 1 LP (1 LP corresponds to 30 hours) is credited for the successfully completed tasks when starting a later course of study in Integrative Social Sciences at RPTU. Completing the tasks also offers added value in preparing for a later course of study in any area of study. The tasks relate to the following topics, among others
- Scientific work
- Types of text, meaning of terms
- Writing in different contexts, etc.
In order to successfully complete the program, all tasks provided must be completed and passed within several weeks. Dropping out of the program has no consequences. The opportunity to participate ends on 31.01.2025 and is limited to a total of 20 students.
The tasks will be assessed by teachers from the Social Sciences department at the KL site. If necessary, feedback will be provided to the students. An opportunity for questions is available.
The program can be completed individually or in a group (e.g. parallel to a basic or advanced social studies course). A certificate of participation will be issued.
