In Module 1 , the doctoral candidate attends in-depth courses in the field of methods training. The number and focus of the courses are determined in consultation with the supervisor and depend on the doctoral candidate's level of qualification. External offers, such as participation in "Summer Schools", method conferences or further training offers of the professional associations, are just as possible as participation in in-depth methods courses of the department or methods courses of the TU Kaiserslautern Young Researchers' Ring.

Module 2 offers courses on interdisciplinary skills. These include courses in the area of university teaching (Lehre plus, in-house seminars, etc.) or other courses on interdisciplinary skills such as project management, rhetoric or foreign language courses. The number of courses to be attended is determined in consultation with the supervisor. Explicit reference will be made to the corresponding courses offered by the TU Kaiserslautern's Junior Researchers' Ring.

Module 3 includes regular participation in the colloquium of the respective research group of the Department of Social Sciences. Regular participation in the colloquium is necessary to successfully complete the doctoral program.
