Educational science is the "third subject" in the teacher training program alongside the two specialist subjects and is supported by pedagogy, psychology and sociology. As a future teacher, you will need educational, teaching and parenting skills, especially within the respective subjects, for which the study of educational science provides the necessary theoretical basis.

Essential parts of the course in educational science are the theory of education, general didactics and educational organization, questions of inclusion and diversity. Psychology is primarily concerned with questions of human experience and behavior, learning and psychological development. Sociology deals with educationally relevant topics of social development.
