What do you need to bring with you?

With the exception of the sports degree program, for which a successful aptitude test is required, all other Bachelor's degree programs are currently admission-free. Above all, however, it is important that you are really interested in social science issues. A good command of English is important for your studies. Social science is a science about society, human action and thought. It gains its knowledge through the use of empirical social science methods and statistical procedures. This requires the use of mathematical models and methods. In seminars, exercises and tutorials, you will practise using such methods to answer important social science questions.

The Master's degree programs in Integrative Social Science and Cognitive Science have special admission requirements: For Integrative Social Science, a Bachelor's degree with a final grade of at least 2.7 and a good command of English are required. For Cognitive Science, a Bachelor's degree in biology, computer science, cognitive science, linguistics, patholinguistics, physics, psycholinguistics, psychology or in the empirically oriented social sciences is required. The courses are predominantly held in English, so a very good knowledge of English is also required here.
