Prerequisites
In order to complete the modules with the module examination, the respective academic achievements in the courses are a prerequisite. The academic achievements of a module are announced in KIS and/or at the beginning of the respective course.
Registration
In principle, participation in the module examinations must be registered for within the period prescribed by the Department of Examination Affairs (16.11.-16.12. or 16.5.-16.6.).
Module 1: Socialization, upbringing, education
Form, procedure and date of the examination:
Written examination (written exam).
The module comprises two written examinations ("Introduction to Psychology" and "Introduction to School Pedagogy", each lasting 90 minutes). The module grade is calculated as the average of these two examinations.
The dates for the exams:
Exam Introduction to School Pedagogy (37102): 09.02.2026 08:30 - 11:00 42-115 (preparation and follow-up time included)

Module 2: Didactics, media, communication
Form and procedure of the examination:
A term paper is written in one of the research groups.
Subject of the examination: Contents of the courses of the module.
Aim of the examination: The aim of the examination is for students to demonstrate the competencies listed in the module handbook and, where possible, to combine the modularly combined courses. The learning objectives are at the level of analysis, synthesis and evaluation. This means that students should be able to use what they have learned as creatively as possible in the examination, evaluate it critically and take their own position.
Assessment criteria:
- Presentation and networking of theories and models (correctness of presentations, use of authors and technical terms)
- Inclusion of empirical findings (if possible and appropriate, presentation of questions, methods and findings of studies)
- Transfer (transfer of theories and studies to practice and own critical assessments)
- Argumentation skills (arguments instead of opinions, evidence from theory and empiricism)
- Development, reflection and justification of your own position on the topic
If you have any questions, please contact your examiner as early as possible.

Subject-specific information Pedagogy Preparation for the examination: Choose one of the module-relevant topics listed here and inform the examiners of your decision as soon as possible.
Psychology Preparation for the examination: The examination is based on the contents of educational-psychological diagnostics. The focus of the specialist discussion is on the application of the content in the context of case studies and other application examples, whereby in addition to test theory basics and diagnostic methods for obtaining information, the derivation of measures to support pupils with certain problems is also relevant. They should be able to critically discuss the significance of educational-psychological diagnostics in the school context, particularly with regard to heterogeneity, inclusion and school development.
Application procedure:
Step 1: Registration with the Department for Examination Affairs and selection of an examiner
Step 2: Contacting the examiners, choosing a topic and a date.
