The required hours may also be completed on a part-time basis, if preferred.
Goal of your internship
The internship should enable the student to perform applied or basic research outside of the RPTU Kaiserslautern.
Possible destinations
A German or abroad company, university, or research institute like Max Planck, DFKI, Fraunhofer, etc.

Thesis
If you are ready to register your master's thesis, please note the following steps and requirements:
Registration Form
To register your thesis, you need to complete a form available from the Prüfungsamt. This form includes the thesis title, the starting date, and the names of both the internal and second supervisors.
Note: You can only register your thesis once you have completed at least 72 ECTS credits.
External Thesis Projects
If you plan to complete your thesis externally (e.g., at a company or external institution), you must obtain approval from the program coordinator (Prof. Lachmann) .
For this, please prepare:
- A brief summary of the proposed project
- A signed confirmation from your external supervisor stating that they are willing to provide guidance during the thesis.
Supervision and Additional Agreements
Your internal supervisor must be a faculty member of the program.
If any additional agreements (e.g., confidentiality or data protection agreements) are required, they must also be reviewed and signed by your internal supervisor.
